DYWIDAG Strand Anchor System

Higher capacity single section flexible tendon for improved handling in restricted access locations.

DYWIDAG Strand Anchor Systems offer increased flexibility and higher capacities compared with traditional bar anchor systems. Higher capacities can be achieved simply by adding additional strands to the tendon bundle.

Strand anchors are particularly suited to areas with low headroom or restricted access where flexible bending of the tendon is required.

Large multi-strand jacks are available for stressing high-capacity anchors.

  • Particularly suited to low headroom or restricted access locations due to the flexibility of the tendon

  • Long lengths of up to 90m+ are available to suit multiple applications

  • Anchors are supplied as single section, and are fully coiled for ease of transportation and site handling

  • Anchors can be grouted in-situ or supplied factory pre-grouted, dependent on site restrictions and grouting capabilities

  • Anchor head componentry can be tailored to specific applications, e.g. re-stressable or de-stressable

  • Permanent systems feature double corrosion protection (DCP) to ensure durability throughout the lifespan of the installation

  • Anchor head protection for permanent works comprises specialist anchor protection caps and sealing arrangements to ensure a long service life

  • Load monitoring options and instrumentation can be incorporated with DYWIDAG Strand Anchor Systems for data-driven
